Hillingdon has a special place in my heart – it is where I was born; where I was raised and where I have lived and worked all my life.
Prior to becoming the MP for Uxbridge & South Ruislip, I worked as a postman and an operations manager for Royal Mail, moving into the vehicle fleet maintenance industry thereafter. My work has continued to focus on high performance and delivering results.
I have always been passionate about getting involved in the community through volunteering with my local Scout group, being a school governor and more recently, an elected councillor in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Born in Hillingdon Hospital and initially have lived in West Drayton, I attended St. Catherine Catholic Primary School and then Bishop Ramsey School, Ruislip, which is where I lived for the last 30 years.
I am a proud father of two adult children who continue to inspire me every day. In the little spare time that I have, I enjoy watching football, especially supporting the local clubs in my patch, along with meeting friends at my local pub.
My constituents are my community. These are people who I have known from birth, from my doctors, teachers, and barbers, right to my colleagues in the local police teams and our Council, who provide us with fantastic frontline services.
I care about every connection I make; I care about the importance of having civic pride. As a lifelong resident, I am proud of my roots and proud to serve those in my constituency of Uxbridge & South Ruislip.
