In Uxbridge and South Ruislip, we have charities both on the national and local scale. For example, last weekend I visited the Samaritans branch in Uxbridge, and on the more local scale, I am always in continuous conversations with the Daniella Logun Foundation.
I am also active in Parliament with charities, for example I attended the Charity Commission for England and Wales Parliamentary Drop-In.
The Charity Commission is the regulator of charities in England and Wales. They register and regulate charities to ensure that the public can support them with confidence.
I learnt at the drop-in that in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, there are 218 registered charities with 249 employees, 4664 volunteers and 1191 trustees.
I look forward to meeting more of the employees and volunteers in the future!
